Christopher Green
Christore Green is a singer and songwriter. He appeared or played at Played Pinkpopfestival 2013, Popronde, Winner band contest Nu of Nooit, Best singer/songwriter of NL (TV Show). His inspiration comes from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen and bands like Wilco, The Band & Midlake.
Christopher Green stands out in the indie/songwriter pop scene for his distinct, narrative style. In 2012, Chris Verheijen released his first album under the pseudonym Christopher Green. What followed was a remarkable period, including an appearance on Giel Beelen's TV program "De Beste Singer/Songwriter," reaching the semi-finals of "De Grote Prijs Van NL," and, as a highlight, winning "Nu of Nooit" (Now or Never), which allowed Chris to open Pinkpop with his band. Following his performance at Pinkpop, and in response to changes within the band's music and lineup, Chris and his band chose to continue their journey as GRAEF. In 2018, GRAEF released the album "How to Play the Sound of Time" and even secured a record deal with the V2 label for the song "Boneclocks." After his adventure with the experimental post-rock band GRAEF, Chris wanted to return to basics: crafting short songs with beautiful musical accompaniment and a smaller production. These songs are inspired by great songwriters like Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, but influences from artists like Elliot Smith, Sparklehorse, and Jeff Tweedy also shine through. Building on this renewed approach, Christopher Green released the EP "Closer" in 2020. Once again, the songs were recorded at the beautiful Moon Music studios in Maasbracht.
